Wireless Drops with large file transfers

If your wireless connection is dropping with large file transfers or downloads, please change the preamble to short on the card and the access point/wireless router. Consult the documentation that came with your wireless card and access point/wireless router for help with changing the preamble. This will allow for better connectivity on busy networks.

iPhone 4 shows 3G icon instead of wifi icon when a wifi is available

If iPhone 4 shows 3G icon, it means you are using 3G network and you are using your data plan. If you don't believe it, go to Setting and turn off both 3G and cellular network. You'll find you cannot connect to internet any more.
To solve this problem, you'd better get your iphone's MAC and reserve an IP address for it in your router. You may be able to find out the phone's MAC from your router.

More TracFone and Net10 SIM Card Info « Pbushx2's Weblog

If you have a TracFone with a SIM card, you might want to know what type of SIM card it is. I think I’ve posted this before in the comments section, but I don’t believe I’ve ever made it part of an actual post. There are two ways to determine the type of SIM in your phone. The easier way for most people is to go to your phone’s “Prepaid” menu, and scroll down to “SIM Number” or “SIM Serial Number,” and select “OK.” You should see a 20-digit number starting with the numbers “890.” This is your SIM Serial Number.

Alternatively, you could also turn off your phone, remove the battery to access the SIM card, and read the SIM serial number off the card itself. Either way, you’ll be interested in the first six digits of the number. All TracFone and Net10 phones have SIM cards beginning with 890. The next three digits determine your carrier. If you have 890141, then you have an AT&T SIM card. If you see 890126, then it’s T-Mobile.

Fats, Oils, Fatty Acids, Triglycerides - Chemical Structure (Page 2 of 3)

Triglycerides are the main constituents of vegetable oils and animal fats. Triglycerides have lower densities than water (they float on water), and at normal room temperatures may be solid or liquid. When solid, they are called "fats" or "butters" and when liquid they are called "oils". A triglyceride, also called triacylglycerol (TAG), is a chemical compound formed from one molecule of glycerol and three fatty acids.

Install Adobe Acrobat 8.0 PDF printer on windows 7

Problems Installing Adobe Acrobat Professional - Vista Forums

Adobe 8 Professional on Windows 7 Pro not installing PDF printer

1st step:

When it asks you to insert the Windows Vista CD-ROM to find AdobePDF.dll, go to the AdobePDF.dll_64 in DATA1.CAB which is included in the Adobe install files. Copy the file to your system and rename it AdobePDF.dll and point the install program to that file.

2nd step:

Install updates for Adobe from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
Including
8.0 to 8.1
8.1 to 8.1.1
8.1.1 to 8.1.2
8.1.2 to 8.1.2 Update 1.

Pharos GPS 135 to run TOMTOM

GpsPasSion Forums - Is possible for pharos gps 135 to run TOMTOM

~DKFC~

WindowsCE Hack

This is intended for the Pharos GPS 135 (PDR135) I do not know if it will with
Any other Pharos version or any other similar software.

3 attached files: PhotoAlbum.exe and realPhotoAlbum.exe and ReadMe!.txt

This will enable you to install Windows CE software including TomTom 6 which I have successfully installed.
I have not yet attempted iGuidance or any other GPS software.

Steps:
1. Connect to 135 via Active Sync also make sure you do not have the MP3player or PhotoAlbum open.
2. Open the Windows folder.
3. Copy the PhotoAlbum.exe over to the folder and select yes to overwrite it.
4. You have now lost your PhotoAlbum, I personally use that less than the MP3, if you would rather
lose the MP3 player then rename the PhotoAlbum.exe to Mp3Player.exe.
The realPhotoAlbum.exe file is a copy of the actual PhotoAlbum. You may put this in the Windows folder and
still utilize the PhotoAlbum but not via the Pharos interface.
5. Now close the active connection. Click the Photo Viewer icon and you SHOULD see a taskbar!
(The Desktop will typically NOT be visible!)
6. Now I HIGHLY SUGGEST that you set the start menu to autohide. Select Start -> Settings ->
Taskbar and Start Menu -> Auto Hide -> OK
7. Now you can install software via the Windows Explorer under "Programs".

Even if you don't install software this hack will allow you to utilize the Map and
directions WHILE listening to MP3s.

WARNINGS!
I am not responsible if this does not work with yours, follow this at your own risk!
Also, if you switch the "ON/OFF" switch you will lose your settings and need to follow these steps again.
Hitting the "Reset" button at the bottom will NOT cause you to lose the settings.

Installing TomTom? Go into the windows control panel and put the volume all the way up
as the voice will be very low otherwise.

Installing ANY GPS software?
For GPS device select "NMEA Receiver" Baud Rate of "38400" and Port Com1

-----------------
Virtual-Key Codes
-----------------
Description & Usage
The virtual-key codes identify various virtual keys. Virtual keys mainly
consist of actual keyboard keys, but also include "virtual" elements such
as the three mouse buttons. The virtual keys also include many "keys"
which usually do not exist at all! A key's virtual-key code does not
change when modifier keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift, etc.) are held -- e.g.,
the 1 key has the same virtual-key code whether 1 or ! is pressed. However,
the numbers in the numeric keypad on the keyboard do have two different
virtual-key codes: one for when Num Lock is on, and another for when Num
Lock is off. Note that the virtual-key codes of 0-9 and A-Z equal their
ASCII codes.
Note: The actual meanings of some of the key codes may vary on keyboards
designed for different languages. Most notably, the VK_OEM_* that denote
punctuation keys may vary between languages, relating to a different
punctuation key. The meanings listed below are for a U.S. English-language
keyboard.

How to Burn an APE Image with Nero

There are exactly fifty billion different audio formats out there and one that causes a lot of confusion for Nero is APE. APE is a lossless format, which prior to FLAC was very popular. The trouble that some people find when they are backing up their CDs is that they run into errors. Perhaps the most common error is a filename mismatch.

The first thing that you need is the relevant NERO plug-in (nxMyAPE.dll). Once you have downloaded it, you will need to unpack the DLL into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins

Your backup should have two files, an APE file and a CUE file. The single APE file contains all of the tracks on the CD. The CUE contains relevant track lengths. The trouble that a lot of people run into is that they find the CUE references a WAV not the APE file that is in their directory. There is a fix and it is very simple. Open the CUE in your favorite text editor and make a single change.
Change the following line, which is right near top of the text file in line 3.
FILE “ABC123.wav” WAV
TO
FILE “ABC123.ape” MP3
The MP3 is not a mistake. For whatever reason, NERO does not recognize the APE in Line 3. Setting it as MP3 is the only thing that works. Once you have done that go into Nero, select “Burn Image,” choose the CUE file that you just edited and hit “Burn.”
