If this happens, it may be because the name of the folder has been changed. So re-share that folder again.

Resident and Non–Resident Aliens

You are considered a nonresident alien for any period that you are neither a United States citizen nor a United States resident alien.

You are considered a resident alien if you met one of two tests for the calendar year.

1. green card holder.

2. substantial presence test:

To meet the substantial presence test, you must have been physically present in the United States on at least 31 days during the current year, and 183 days during the 3 year period that includes the current year and the 2 years immediately before. To satisfy the 183 days requirement, count all of the days you were present in the current year, and one–third of the days you were present in the first year before the current year, and one–sixth of the days you were present in the second year before the current year.

In the IRS Publication 519, US Tax Guide to Aliens, it says that you don’t count any day you are an F1 student towards presence in the US for the substantial presence test. However, after saying students (F1) were one of the “exempt” cases, the “exempt” status were automatically taken away after 5 years.
“You will not be an exempt individual as a student if you have been exempt as a teacher, trainee, or student for any part of more than 5 calendar years unless you establish that you do not intend to reside permanently in the United States and you have substantially complied with the requirements of your visa.”

Initialize new disk on Vista

I have solved the issue and I would like to make the solution available forthose of you who happen to come across this in your searches. Roberto iscorrect, the new drive must be "initialized" in Vista using Disk Management. However, this is not intuitive at all. Disk Management lists your disks atthe bottom area of the screen. On the left panel it will say "Disk 0","Disk 1", etc. On the right panel it will say "Vista C: Healthy" (orsomething similar). You have to actually right click on the left panel where it says "Disk 0" to get the option to initialize the disk. If youright click on the right panel then the "Initialize" option is not there andevery other option is disabled.

Export EPS from PowerPoint

You can't export EPS from PowerPoint, but ...

If you have Adobe Acrobat That's Acrobat, the full package, not just the free Reader. If that's what you've got, you've got it made.
Make a PDF from your PowerPoint presentation, open the PDF in Acrobat, then export the page you want to EPS, choosing the preview image, PS level and font embedding options you'd like.

If you don't have AcrobatSome PostScript drivers allow you to choose EPS as the output format. Whether your driver supports this will depend on the driver and the version of Windows you use.

First, set up a PostScript driver (install one if needed) You'll want the most generic color PS driver you can find; some drivers may include device-specific PostScript even when they're producing EPS.
Open the printer driver properties page and do the following:
On the Paper tab, choose the same size paper as your app will be set to.
If available, click Unprintable Area and set all the unprintable margins to 0. Otherwise you'll get unexpected white borders around your EPS.
Some apps will automatically adjust orientation when you print, others will not. You may need to set the Landscape/Portrait orientation properly. If in doubt, set it here.
On the PostScript tab, choose Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) in the listbox called PostScript output format.
Accept these changes.

Then start PowerPoint.
Open the file you want to export to EPS.
Verify that your document page settings and the driver page settings match.
Print. In the print dialog, check that the following options are set:
Print Current Slide only, or a 1-page range of pages. An EPS file with more than one page image is an abomination, and WinMom won't let you do it. Don't try.
Likewise, make sure number of Copies is set to 1
Put a checkmark next to Scale to fit paper (you don't want white borders around the EPS)
Put a checkmark next to Print to file (since a file is what you're after here ... the driver will natter at you and give you an opportunity to change this if you forget, however)
OK the print dialog. You'll get a File Save dialog box. Give your file a name. WinMom may decide she knows best and append ".prn" to whatever you type here; if so, rename the file in Explorer. If you type the entire name in quotes, she'll leave it alone.

Did it work?
Import your new EPS file into any app that supports placing EPS and see the results on screen in ... um ... glorious living grey rectangle. The driver doesn't create a preview image for the EPS, just the PostScript part. This is perfectly valid and should print fine to a PostScript printer, but it's a little unnerving if you expected to like SEE something when you imported the file.
And to a non-PostScript printer? You get the grey rectangle. Again, this is normal. Not what you might want, perhaps, but normal. Don't use EPS graphics if you're not printing to PostScript printers.

Draw 3D sphere in powerpoint

1. Set the diameter of a circle to x cm.
2. Right click the circle and click format shape.
3. Fill: solid
Line color: no
3D format->Bevel->top->0.5x cm for both width and height
3D format->surface->play with material and lighting

Remove white background from the pasted image in Powerpoint

You may get a reasonable (but not perfect) result by clicking the white background with the transparency tool in 2002/3 in the picture toolbar in 2007 In Picture tools tab>recolor.

Clone system partition by Ghost 2003

If you clone your system by "partition to partion", Ghost 2003 can only copy files and directories. Therefore, the booting section on the hard drive will not be touched. That's why a new hard drive is not bootable. There are two solutions:
1) Install the same system on the hard drive first. Then, overwrite it with the cloned patition.
2) Clone the partition to the new hard drive first. Then, boot your computer with a windows installation CD. Repair the cloned system.

Besides Ghost, you can also try Clonezilla. It's free.
